Temp-to-Hire
As staffing specialists, we're well aware of the huge investment a company makes in its employees and how important it is to be absolutely certain a candidate will be the best possible fit before an offer is extended. In such situations, our "temp-to-hire" arrangement provides you with a confident method of hiring new staff. As a Manpower-assigned employee, a candidate will work in the position for a designated period of time during which performance and fit can be assessed.
If and when customers choose to hire the Manpower-assigned employee, they would then pay a temp-to-hire fee based on a percentage of the worker's offered annual compensation. (There is no conversion fee for Manpower clerical and industrial employees at Stanford).
We feel strongly that there's no better way to ensure that the candidate is the best possible person for the position. Using our temp-to-hire approach enables the Manpower-assigned employee to gain a working knowledge, not only of job duties and responsibilities, but also of the company's culture and work environment. In cases where the fit is good, but additional training may be required, the Manpower-assigned employee can access any number of our free training programs to increase his or her knowledge base and consequent value to you, our customer.

Payrolling
In circumstances where customers prefer to do their own recruiting but wish to turn over the hiring and employment process to an outside source, Manpower offers an accomplished Payrolling service. You recommend the people-which can include those who may already be working for you-and the pay rate and Manpower does the hiring and sends those selected workers through the same orientation process and testing as all other Manpower employees.
For Manpower customers, our Payrolling service is extremely efficient and nearly effortless. The selected employees become our employees, our responsibility. All you need to do is approve the submitted hours for the duration of the employees' assignments. We'll handle the payroll and related deductions, tax liabilities, benefits, insurance (including short-term disability, unemployment and workers' compensation) as well as all employee issues. We'll then send you a weekly invoice that will reflect a discount in our nominal staffing fee structure, because you've taken care of the recruiting process.

We assess candidates for abilities and soft-skills. We set up appointments and interviews. We test and perform background, education and reference checks. You don't pay for anything, until we get results!

On-Site Management
When the number of workers dictate the need, Manpower staff members dedicate their time on-site to management of our employees. They work with the SRC for recruitment and selection. They perform orientations, scheduling, discipline, coaching, performance reviews, and retention and incentive programs. Of course they also work closely with your company's management team to design effective programs and to increase productivity, quality and retention of employees.
